Just A little about me :)

I grew up in a house filled with music and family. Mom, Dad, two older brothers, two older sisters and two younger sisters. we all loved music. Dad played the stereo, Mom played piano. Dad always played a wide variety of music from Herb alpert to the beatles. my mom learned piano from her mom who played for silent movies houses. it was her piano that I grew up hearing, loving, learning and playing.

my sister therese took piano lessons from the nuns at our parish. she would practice most every day and I would sit and listen and whistle along. when she was done I would sit down and figure out the melodies by ear. It was the perfect fit…. I loved it and it bugged her. a win-win situation in a younger brothers mind. I eventually tried to take lessons like my sister, but found it much easier and much less stressful to play by ear.

In grade school I played tenor sax. during that time my brother influenced me to play guitar and I eventually picked that up as well. In highschool I added more instruments and played in the band and the orchestra for our annual musicals.

I wanted a career in music. but, Other than 6 years of the tenor sax, i still lacked the formal training.

Out of high school I worked in the local music store where I met
